What you’ll need:
Step 1) Cut the iron on embroidered applique into the pattern of your choice and lay it out on your skirt
Step 2) Use the fabric glue and dab lightly on the back of your applique (I just put a little dot on the back, in the center of each large circle). The glue is just for you to position your iron on applique onto your skirt so that it will stay in place when you iron it on
Step 3) Apply your iron on applique with the little dots of glue on the back, I would glue a few circles, place it on my skirt, then continue gluing the rest of the circles. Proceed until you are satisfied with your pattern.
Step 4) Place the old shirt on top of the appliques and iron (hold iron for at least 5 seconds), this step took me the longest. I found I had to go over each applique multiple times to get it to adhere firmly. DO NOT put the iron directly on your skirt if you’te using polyurethane–it is usually pretty heat labile, so you don’t want to ruin all your hard work! If you want to add some bling on your skirt, just use the fabric glue, it holds well.
