It’s finally starting to look like spring here in Utah! I layered this little black dress (LBD) I found on the clearance rack at Forever 21 with the lace crop top I wore in this post. It can be purchased here.

Sunnies are from Tom Ford and my daisy bracelet is from the J. Crew Factory, both pieces are a little older.

I scored these white platform sandals  for $17.50!!! My white double pearl earrings were worn in the previous post and my Gucci leather clutch was my graduation gift from my wonderful mominlaw!

I dyed my hair deep violet over the weekend, if you guys want a tutorial on how I DIY’d my hair let me know!

I hope everyone’s having a fabulous Monday! Today I’m channeling an uptown boho chic vibe and am wearing a chiffon off the shoulder top from LuLu*s available here. I actually sewed an elastic band to the end of each of the sleeves because when I was working in a laboratory, the sleeves would risk contaminating my samples, baahahaaa.

The wool blazer I’m wearing in the first picture is a vintage Escada piece. My white straight leg pants, and wool hat are from Korea. My ornate Zara statement necklace is no longer available online but Amazon sells a very similar design here. I layered it with a pink crystal pendant I scored at Michael’s for $4!

I’ve worn the Prada sunnies, Nine West heels, and Gucci tote in previous posts.

That urban grunge

Today’s outfit showcases my interpretation of the “grunge look.” I consider myself too old to pull off full on grunge, so I urbanized my look by adding chic details — like the tassel earrings and thigh high nylon socks. Aren’t these earrings adorable?! I got them for $4.68 and I love the quality!!!

Black tassel earrings | $4.68

Gold hair cuff | $4.90

Thigh high nylons | $7.98

Black tank | $3.53

Platform lace up ankle boots | $34.62

Don’t you love how most of the interesting items I buy are dirt cheap?! Hahahhaa

The killer spiked out leather cuff was my mom in law’s. She gave it to me because I stared at it with hungry eyes. I bought the oversized olive jacket in Korea. My distressed shorts are Dolce & Gabbana and my tote is from Louis Vuitton. Affordable distressed shorts, similar olive jackets, and my Gucci sunglasses are linked in the slider below.

The urban dictionary defines “eye of the tiger” as having complete focus on becoming the best fighter/hunter. This concept has absolutely nothing to do with my outfit post but I thought I should share this with you because it’s the title of my post *snap snap*.

I am wearing the ridiculously ornate Zara statement necklace again. I’m so in love with it. I actually purchased it from ebay a while ago.

The tiger crop top and chiffon maxi skirt are from my most recent trip to Seoul, Korea.

Crystal drop earrings were worn at my wedding 3.5 years ago! I believe I bought them on ebay for like $8 lol.

Acid wash chambray shirt around my waist is old and from Pac Sun (similar here).

Blush car coat is from f21 available here.

Sneaker wedges are from the great Giuseppe Zanotti (available here).

Drool-worthy Gucci tote is a Hawaii Exclusive design and gifted to me by my fabulous mom-in-law.

And, yes…it is the man himself, Nikola Tesla, the remarkable physicist behind me!!!

The Asian That Haggled at Target and Won

My hubby was very excited when he found this bulldozer, he pulled a U turn while he was driving and told me he had found “the place” to take photos of me. I tried really hard not to laugh as he takes his work very seriously. He kept on barking at me to “interact with the bulldozer”! He forgets I consider myself an awkward BBW (big beautiful woman) and not a model. Baahahaaaa.

On to the relevance of the title. I found the cute ankle boots I’m wearing in the clearance section at target for $24.99. They only had one left in my size and it had a scuff on it that really bothered me. So, I informed the cashier about it. He offered a 10% discount. I politely declined and said the best I could do was $18. He accepted and that is how I am now the glorious Asian that haggled at Target and won.

I got this stretch jersey tank for $3.53, here, (including shipping) and I am in LOVE with it. I just bought 2 more!!!

I bought my color block over the knee socks here. They were too tight for my thighs at the top so I cut off the elastic band and they fit fine now, lol.

The Gucci shoulder bag is vintage and I wore it in the previous post.

I bought the fringe necklace from Macy’s a long time ago, but here’s a very similar version.

Dior glasses are old similar here.

The Parka is St. John.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend ❤
